NB: If you don’t want to interfere with your existing settings just add www.writelink.co.uk & www.writelink.co.uk/blogs to your list of allowed sites by doing the following:

Hi,

I have login problems of a different kind - I appear on the list as logged in but I'm not. When I try to log in, I can't get into back office or on here.

I don't understand why I appear as logged in when the system wants me to log in, and doesn't let me.

Tried the cache clearing thing but that didn't work either.

Any ideas at all?

Thanks alot!
Steph

Hello Stephanie, this comment was written as a visitor so you weren't logged in when you wrote it. If the page is telling you that you are logged in it could be that it is loading a stored page. Try hitting the refresh button at the top of the browser window.

Hi Sue,

I'll try that tonight. Strangely enough, I could log in here at work or on my other half's laptop.

On mine it just showed me as logged in when in fact I wasn't. Not a clue... :(

Will see if refreshing the page will work.

Thanks,
Steph

Works today with no problem after several days of playing up. Something's done the trick!

Thanks for checking this out, Sue :)

Sorry Sue,I'm still having trouble with login, I've gone through everything suggested above, and there's no reason found why my computer won't cooperate. One thing I have found, in Firefox when I put in the writelink.co.uk/blogs for it to be 'allowed' it will not put in the /blogs part. I did get in on Saturday but it's the one and only time and I've no idea why. Today, no joy. Any suggestions? Thanks, Jeanne

What error message do you get? If it is password not recognised you need to Clear Private Data from the Tools menu.

I don't get a message, it half loads and then returns me to the Home Page. I finally got in this morning after trying several times. Should I be given two options, 'Login' or 'Login to Backoffice' each time? Because this doesn't happen. I may try changing my password and see if that helps.

If you are logging in from the home page you don't get the Back office option. You will just see your name appear. To administer your blog you need to use the My Writing Desk button at the top of the page. Select from the various options in the drop down menu.

These buttons appear on all the site blogs and everyone's Personal blog so you can move through the site without having to keep returning to the home page.
