Does pingback mean if you receive a comment and you don't want it, you send it back where it came from?:)) I do seem to get repeated messages - some of them are comments I've written in response to members' submissions.

Perhaps they've pinged them back (pingback:))).

Comments, Pingbacks:

I may have this wrong, but when you post to your blog, it is pinged to various sites, and I think the pingback is when you get a hit from the ping.

Be careful David - you're beginning to say things like 'you get a hit from a ping' as a serious proposition. You may soon have to pronounce yourself a professional techhie and charge £250 an hour to look at people's computers, shake your head sadly and say 'you didn't oughta have done that'.

£250 an hour? I don't think I could afford the pay cut.
