IF YOU NEED HELP
I appreciate that for many, blogging is a very new concept and the amount of control you have over your own blog is probably something that is quite new to you and perhaps a little confusing.
If you need help please follow these guidelines before asking for direct help from individuals which ties up valuable writing time.
1. David Robinson has written a very good article under the writing article Resources on the main site which you should download and keep with you until you become familiar with your blog.
2. This help blog also contains some good advice so refer to it and also subscribe to it so that you are made aware of when new posts are added.
3. If your query is not answered by consulting the above, POST it in the Help blog as a new post. The more Help blog is used, the more useful it becomes for newer members.
WHAT YOU MUST NOT DO!
1. Do not email our site programmer! He is paid to develop the site, not spend time answering user queries.
2. Do not email individual members with queries unless they offer to help off site!

Moderating on Blog Arena
Isn't it a bit weird that we can moderate comments on other people's arena posts? I've just moderated Trevor's comment on his own 'Ma post'...sorry Trevor!

Forums Access
Is any one else having problems with the Forums?
Although I'm logged in I cannot post a new topic or reply to one that exists. When I try I just get a screen that says only users with special rights can access the forums.
In addition I am not shown as a registered user at the bottom of the forums page. Other users online are shown.
These problems have only become apparent today.

Can some one please tell me how to put my writing(on my blog
into categories?
My blog is starting to look messy;if I can put them into categories It will look much better!
would appericate any help offered.

I think at last I am getting the hang of many of the technical bits here that eluded me.
However I'm still not sure about trackbacks and pingbacks. I assume as there are two words they are different things. Probably not important but I am curious as to why when I post, it says 'no pingbacks to be sent'. In my profile there is a box to tick to allow trackbacks but when i tick it and save, it stays there empty.
Anybody know why?

Including images
There have been a couple of queries on including photographs in posts.
For the record, blog software (even that used by the big names like Blogger)is not geared to include images, so they have to uploaded separately to the web, and the photograph's URL has to be used to point the post to the relevant picture.
