ABOUT WRITELINK COMPETITIONS

Writelink organises a very comprehensive programme of contests which run throughout the year.

[More:]

MEMBERS ONLY

The members only competitions are the Writelink Challenge, for new or unpublished writers and the Writelink Super Challenge, for published writers. These take place each month and will call for either a piece of short fiction, poem or article.

There is no entry fee and you can post as many entries as you like. These contests make excellent writing prompts and also offer the chance of winning a cash prize as well as gaining comments on your work.

Entries are posted directly to the website and are available for commenting and rating by other members. They can be read, but not commented on by the general public unless they join the site either as a Reader or a Writer member.

The name of the author does not appear on the site and is only revealed once the results are announced.

A different judge is appointed each month who will select winners and provide a short report.

The winning entry will receive £25. Quite often, we offer ebooks, books or software to the runners up.

You can only enter one of these competitions. When you join the site as a WRITER you will have been designated Writer or Super Writer status.

To find out which you are just try accessing either of the two competition pages.

If you cannot access either of the pages you are either not logged in or need to upgrade to WRITER status.

If you are a READER select Profile from the My Writing Desk button at the top of the site.

If you are a GUEST click the Join Us! Button opposite.

OPEN COMPETITIONS

We run at least five of these each year. The Spring Fever poetry competition, Novel Beginnings, first chapter competition, The Weekender Challenge for short stories, The Battle of the Bards poetry contest and The Christmas Chillers ghost story competition.

These contests are open to everyone. They offer cash prizes of £50, £25 & £25. See the latest open contest here:
