Sardinia - Chausiku's latest adventure(s)
So you're back from a week's holiday to a place you'd never been to before, the photos are down- and uploaded (see a selection on http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=121704&id=664241054&ref=nf), your notebook is full, but what story do you start with?
Well, what do people want to read?
Over to you - will it be:
1. Eight days in Sardinia
2. D.H. Lawrence : his view and mine (But this will need a bit of research)
3. Banditry in Sardinia
4. Pru's packing palaver
5. Ryanair Rules: how to fit eight days' necessities into a ten kilo bag
6. Organising a budget holiday
7. Why Sardinia?
8. Why May?
9. Sardinian food and wine
10. The Kanga: one esential item you must ALWAYS pack
11. How NOT to pack for a week's holday
12. Package holidays v. tailor-made breaks
13. The Nuraghic civilisation
14. The Emerald Coast
15. The Interior
etc. etc. etc... Let's have your ideas, and give me a week, as I have another few days' adventure of a completely different sort starting tomorrow...
Comments, Pingbacks:
As an ex miner and an inhabitant of the wonderful county of Nottingham, I vote for the D.H. Lawrence article. I have one part done of my own and it would be very interesting to read what someone who has more or less always lived outside of Britain thinks of him and his work.
That'll do for starters, unless I'm outvoted - but I don't mind.
I am sure they will all make good reading and it looks as if you have your time planned for a while to come if you are to tackle them all.
'Why Sardinia?' is a good starting point as it'll force you to think of it's best points. And of course the DH Lawrence angle would set it above all the rest and sounds fascinating. Sure you'll enjoy the research. I'm fond of Pru too, so maybe we could have some fiction!
I've never been there so I'd be interested in an eye-witness account. What did you enjoy/ find interesting/ not like?
Illustrated with your photos - of course!
I'd go with Lawrence. As the son of a coal miner, I identify with him and one of my favourite reads is Sons & Lovers.
