The Hanna Hotel

Now that everyone's gone, the emotions have died down, and things are quiet, I thought I would share some of our crazy magical moments with you.

[More:]

This is my sister, Mum, brother-in-law and me in Durazno (see post below) on a rainy day just before Christmas, when another faction had headed west to an estancia for a couple of days.

Peek-a-boo!!
I think it's just as well there seemed nobody about - you crazy lot. But I'm sure you had loads of fun. Is that one tree opened up, sort of, or two propped up for some reason?

Amazing. I assume there is greenery above supported by that bark. Wonder how long it can live like that. Probably ages as it is through the bark that nutrients etc travel. There used to be an enormously wide oak near where I grew uo, called the Doomsday Oak because it was reputed to be listed in the Doomsday book. It was totally hollow, held together by chains but with green leaved branches.
