The ten petals represent the apostles, the three bits in the middle the Trinity, and there are lots of other details I can't remember...

Another smashing picture. I believe the blue spiky-looking things represent the crown of thorns, the ten petals the apostles (minus Judas and Peter, I think), the top three stigma the nails, and the five things beneath (not sure what they're called), the wounds of Christ.

Was it Peter that denied being Jesus's friend/apostle three times before the cock crowed? I guess that would put him in semi-traitor spot next to Judas.
