Fantastic colours and a great leaf shape. I don't know much about tree types. But this week is national walk to school week in England so my elder son and I have been doing just that. We have had great fun shuffling through all the leaves, listening to the sound and enjoying the colours. There are some just like yours and others much smaller, oval and golden. I'd never realised before how many different colours and shapes there are to autumn leaves!

Wonderful colours. Isn't digital photography great? I love being able to snap and immediately know when I've taken the right photo instead of taking loads and hoping like mad one of them turns out to be a winner when they are developed.

I looked at this earlier, and then went shopping so didn't have time to comment how beautiful the colours were. And then as we drove home due the wind suddenly increasing, it was through a curtain of gold and brown leaves. I hate the onslaught of winter, but there is a certain beauty in Autumn.
