Tea Time Morsels by Marit Meredtih
A delightful collection of short stories each a snippet from everyday life, covering the ages of Man from childhood to second childhood and beyond. Invisible friends, childhood isolation, teenage crush begets teenage love, unstated and understated marital discord, remembering, forgetting, ageing and regressing; it’s all there in these fine tales.
There is something for everyone, and everyone will recognise these titbits of the ordinary. Some will make you laugh, others will make you cringe as you see yourself, some will make you think: was I like that, do I behave that way, is that what I will become?
From my personal favourite, P’Noodles Report, to spooky goings on and a grim death in The Walk, there is something here to entertain every taste.
