Wildlife Survey 08/14 June

Next week the RSPB are running a survey where they want you to record what crawls, hops, flutters and flies in your garden.

Details on how to take part can be found on www.rspb.org.uk/naturecount.

I already record birds on a daily basis and will be seeing what else turns up during the week. I hope the wandering hedgehog turns up

Thanks for letting us know of this Bob. I had not come across this survey and would love to take part. I believe the link as posted doesn't quite work. Need to remove the gap from between nature and count.
Will be interesting to see what people spot.

Comment from Alison Raymond:

Hi Bob,
Thanks for the information about the RSPB survey.
A little treat in the garden early this morning (couldn't sleep). We have had a pair of robins nesting in the hedge and all through the spring mum and
dad have worked relentlessly to feed the brood, fearlessly hopping around the spade whenever I dug the garden. Today Dad had the three kids lined up
on the fence at dawn and he seemed to be showing them how to find grubs in the herbaceous border. Soon the scruffy little fledglings were darting in
and out of the plants, occasionally returning to the fence to rest,
best wishes,
Alison

Thanks for the info, I've put it in my diary for Saturday. The number of birds visiting our backyard has suddenly tripled - at least! Sorting out photos for a blog post.
