January Dogs

Every year I get a calendar from my daughter featuring her dogs. In addition to the photo for the month there is always a quotation added.
I will post one each month this year.

[More:]

From left to right the four dogs are Gem, Sam(my), Jack and Max(ie)

"Why own a dog? There's a danger you know,
You can't just own one, for the craving will grow.
There's no doubt they're addictive, wherein lies the danger.
While living with lots, you'll grow poorer and stranger."

This is so lovely!
My little mongrel terrier of fifteen years sadly died exactly one year ago, but as a 'dog person' life is not the same. I have cleared my summer diary (including holidays away) so that I can get another and have the time to see her through those first few weeks...So, expect more news on this story!
(ps a good friend keeps trying to pursuade me to take a new foundland pup!!)

Lovely photo - there's some truth in the poem too!

As expensive as children - and often even more spoiled.
I'm a dog person, though my husband suffers from asthma unfortunately so we can't have one.
