Hi Sue,
I like the changes for this year's competition. It's fun to have something fresh and different.

Can I double check a couple of things: how closely do we have to keep to just what's in one of the pix ie are we free to use the photos as an inspirational starting point for a poem (as opposed to a poem simply describing the photo)?
Also, I'm not good on plants etc so I can check what type of tree it is in photo 11? (Would one be expected to use the same type of tree in a poem for that photo or could one write more generallly about a tree(s)?

Glad you like the comp Sarah, it's provoking a lot of interest, all ready had some entries in!

The poems are for inspirational purposes only, you don't need to stick too slavishly to the subjects, but your poem must show some reference to whatever you select.

Re the tree. I think it is an almond tree. It was taken in France last year. It doesn't really matter about type, the blossom is the important thing! Good luck!

Well, I've entered now. Just to let you know, Sue, that when paying through paypal the acknowledgment page after payment (to print out) still has the 2006 deadline on it.
:-)

I can't find the results of the Sprin Fever 2008 competition. Please tell me where they are as this was the first time I have ever entered a poem.
Thanks
