VALENTINE LOVERICK - Latest Arena Competition
Can you write a limerick? Good! You’ll have no trouble with our latest Arena competition. With Valentine’s day looming large next month we’re looking for a limerick about … yes you’ve guessed it … love!
Humour is definitely in order with this one so try and come up with something to tickle our judge’s funny bone and you could be in with a chance of winning our cash prize of £20.
Oh … one other thing, your limerick must conform to the rules so in case you’ve forgotten … a limerick is a five-line poem containing one couplet and one triplet. The rhyme pattern is a a b b a with lines 1, 2 and 5 containing 3 beats and rhyming, and lines 3 and 4 having two beats and rhyming.
You can post as many entries as you like as long as you post directly to the site. Go to www.writelink.co.uk and click the My Writing Desk button at the top of the page. Select Publish from the drop down menu or go straight to the competition page and select Add to this List at the top of the listings.
