ARE YOU STILL HAVING LOGIN PROBLEMS?
If you have been registered with the blogs for some time and are still experiencing login problems please read the following as it is easily cured. New members who have recently joined the site are not affected.
Explanation: The problem is due to the fact that for several months some Writelink members have created their own accounts on the blog site.
A short while ago we installed a new subscription management programme which has its own password system.
Our programmer has made the two “talk” to each other and while it works fine for new members joining the blog site, it doesn’t like the passwords existing members have set up before the subscription management programme went in! In other words there is a conflict!
Our programmer thinks this will eventually sort itself out, but if you have problems logging in again do the following:
1. Delete your Cookies.
2. Send for a new password. This will definitely work, but be very careful not to include additional spaces either before or after password or username.
The new password will be a string of numbers and letters which will be very difficult to remember! You can stick with this if you wish, but you can also change your password to something more meaningful.
Do this by logging into the site and selecting Profile from the My Writing Desk button at the top of the page.
DO NOT use the password you original set up when you registered with the blogs! Use a fresh password even if you just add a number to the one you normally use, e.g. applepie – applepie2 or something completely different.
There is no good reason why you should have to do this, but this seems to be helping! ![]()
