NON-FICTION
Jean Knill
Jean began her career as a freelance writer in the early 1980s. Her work has been published in many UK magazines and newspapers – including SHE, The Lady, My Weekly, Sports Industries, and Church Times – as well as in writing and travel e-zines. Now she showcases some of her work on constant-content.com and has made a number of sales there. Jean joined Writelink in 2006 and was delighted to find this supportive community on such a helpful site. Her article, Making the Most of Writelink, soon appeared in Resources. Some of her recently published pieces first saw the light of day in the Writelink Arena or in her WL blog, and she is grateful for all the comments that helped her polish them until they were saleable. Until recently, Jean’s writing has been slotted in beside teaching and marketing projects. Now she has retired from these sidelines and is rejoicing in the freedom to write as much as she wants.

Tim Williamson
When my parents first found one of my drawing books crammed full with pre-school writing copied from an encyclopaedia Britannica, they realised I’d never become an artist. As I grew up I spent less time writing and more time reading – anything from my story books to my dad’s car magazines. After deciding on a career in science, I walked away from writing until 2006 – a full 19 years since I first scribbled in my drawing pad. I began with short stories but soon moved on to article writing as a way to fill up my free time. I prefer not to write for profit and instead enjoy sharing my work with those of others, which is why I joined Writelink in 2007. I’ve found the whole community extremely supportive and more helpful than any other writer’s website I’ve visited. I’m currently working on an exciting collaboration/experiment in addiction, my article of which should (hopefully) be finished July ’08.
Jane Tesseyman
As a relatively new writer Jane has recently embarked on a complete life change. Moving to Rhodes, Greece at the beginning of 2008 she decided to begin an internet course in non-fiction writing. As yet she is unpublished in the paying markets but previously contributed to a company brochure and numerous company leaflets in her 6 year employment in England. The course is progressing steadily and the confidence is growing. It is with great relish that she looks forward to fully embracing the Writelink community and truly getting the best from herself with the help of the other members. Jane is hoping to make a full time career from writing and looks forward to the day she is gainfully employed by herself as a writer.
