NEW SITE UPDATE

Thought you might like to know where we are with the new site as so many of you have suffered the trials and tribulations of being site guinea-pigs!

[More:]

The new home page is almost finished and works O.K. in Firefox. It is all over the place in Internet Explorer so the display issues in IE is what our programmer is working on now.

It may look a little unbalanced at the moment, but that is because the blank space is for the insertion of an advertising script similar to the 50 for 5 we have on the old site.

You'll also be pleased to know that all the skins that are being used for the individual blogs will be having a navigation bar fitted which means you will be able to reach the site blogs, login & out and administer your blog from a top, easily accessible menu.

Once these features are in the last big job is to add a subscription management script which I'm hoping won't present too much of a problem!

If you want a preview of what is coming up click the link below.

Just had a look, Sue and it's brilliant. However, I did notice that when I hovered over the "Community" & "Support" tabs, "My Writing Desk" opened up too.

Glad you like it David! My Writing Desk doesn't open up for me when I hover on the others. Are you using AOL or Firefox?

Actually, Sue, I'm using IE7, but yes I tried AOL, which has the same problem, but FF doesn't do it,

Aha! It isn't fixed properly for IE or AOL so that explains it.

It looks good to me - and all the tabs were working.

That's good Linda, the programmer emailed me to say he'd corrected the issues so we'll soon be good to go!
