LOG IN PROBLEMS

If you are finding it difficult to login and are sure that you are using the correct Username and password please try clearing Temporary Internet files and Cookies and then trying again.

[More:]

If you still have a problem please email me sue@writelink.co.uk with a full description including any error messages.

After the site went down last week we had problems with logging in, but think this has been fixed. Unfortunately most computers insist on loading stored pages from the users computer which could result in login difficulties unless these are cleared. :D

Hello Sue,
I am trying to log in from my laptop as my other computer is being rebuilt. Have not been here recently as the story for my blog is on the other computer but thought I'd come in and explain to those following the story. But I kep getting 404 messages ans when I try to log in [usually not required] I get red message telling me I should do so. Have tried to find temp internet files on this machine but it doesn't believe in them. I can log in everywhere else.
Happy New Year to you and congratulations on successful chillers com. I thought the 2nd prize winner was far the most chilling.

Hello Daffni, try logging in to the site using Internet Explorer. We're still experiencing some login difficulties with Firefox, at least I am! The programmer is working on it so it should be sorted before too long.

You should find your temporary internet files by going to Tools/Options at the top of your browser, (Internet Explorer). Click the Delete Files button, (these are your temporary internet files).

Glad you enjoyed the Chillers!

Daffni I don't know where you got that link from, but it is not the link to your blog!

The link to your blog is: http://www.writelink.co.uk/blogs/daffni

Please note the end word is also your Username.

All members have the same blog address except for the Username on the end so mine for instance is:
http://www.writelink.co.uk/blogs/sue_kendrick

You can login to your blog from this direct link:
http://www.writelink.co.uk/blogs/daffni

Alternatively you can use the Blog home page which is BlogAll
http://www.writelink.co.uk/blogs

All login and browser problems have been resolved so both Internet Explorer and Firefox are working correctly.

I got the link from clicking on read more by my post.
Just tried http://www.writelink.co.uk/blogs/daffni taken from above and that didn't work either.
I have not been pasting links in - just trying to operate the links within my blog.

I can get to my blog ok by the methods above but that doesn't help me to read anything except the lead in bit -- and not the comments either.

Just tried again and still no chance. If I click on the title or the post in the small print in box I get 404, if I click on big title I go to my own outside site [better than nothing if it takes other people there but no good for the blog] and if i click on read more I get 404. I am logged in but it also says as an option above logout 'subscription daffni' but surely I have subscribed and I assume it lasts a year. I tried clicking on it but just found a list of posts etc.
The system knows I am me as it lists me right now as the only member present on line.

Hello again.
Sue finally fixed my original problem and I can now read both my posts in full and my comments. So today I decided I could try to upload the next bit of Teifi's story. Pasted text - no problem, Tried to upload picture but it didn't like the hyphon in file name, so went back to my own files and saved it without hyphon [no problem with hyphens on my own computer] and returned to upload again. Found i was no longer logged in and all attempts to do so either by 'login' or 'login to back office' just result in returning to the form and info 'you must accept cookies'. I do and it had logged me in onece today alreadt.
Off to try int explorer. Then I've had it with the struggle.

Well I went to IE and could log in. Finally posted next episode after spending an hour fiddling and changing file names of pictures -- won't accept ' or a space.
Back to firefox to resume here [no doubt unloigged but can't be bothered to look. When I saved the new post i got this
Pinging b2evolution.net...
Response: This is the first time you ping us for this blog. Allow a few days for validation before your blog appears on b2evolution.net .

Done.

Never happened before and I didn't consciously ping anything. Don't know how to if I did want to. I I just wanted to post the story to my own blog.
